If you’re anything like me, one of your favourite parts to any workout is a good post-workout snack. It’s the perfect reward for pushing yourself, sweating like crazy and working hard.
As I was saying in my last post, the summery weather has me like crazy. The sunshine, the green grass and leafy trees, and warmer temperatures have me wanting to do more and more. Run. Bike. Walk. Whatever it is, I just want to be outside doing something. Summer is the perfect time to try out a new activity, sport or revisit an old hobby. And all the new opportunities for being active and getting your sweat on means just one thing… more opportunities for healthy and good for you snacks afterwards.
Today, I’ve rounded up 12 awesome post-workout snacks from around the internet. These are my favourite types of post-sweat snacks (aka – sweet and packed with either chocolate or nuts… or both!). All these recipes are easy to make (score!) and can be made completely gluten free if you substitute gluten free certified ingredients, like oats.
